David Schieck

Commercialization Assessment and Strategic Planning

·   Mr. Schieck has extensive experience in the theory and application of the methodologies of technology commercialization and wealth creation from early stage technologies.

· He was an active participant on an IC2 Institute team that assessed and developed an action plan for the technology sector growth for Adelaide, Australia.

· David has participated in numerous commercialization assessment and strategic planning efforts for technologies ranging from medical stents, cancer treatments, drilling apparatus, to new engines.

· He was one of the founders of the University of Texas’s student Idea to Product (I2P® )Competition.

Training Experience

Mr. Schieck has broad training and mentoring experience. He has a passion for helping others learn new skills.

· He has taught workshops on the ISO 14000 Environmental Management System.

· Designed a training workshop on the Internet for small businesses for the City of Austin Department of Small and Minority Business Resources.

· Through the IC2 Institute, David provided technology commercialization training to a group of Russian scientists.

· He was part of the team that developed a multiple disciplines, early stage technology commercialization course at the University of Texas.

Education

· Mr. Schieck is a graduate of the University of Texas, McCombs School of Business’ Masters of Science in Technology Commercialization, an advanced degree in the business of technology commercialization.

· He completed executive management programs at Southern Methodist University and the Pennsylvania State University. 

· David has a Masters of Science degree from the University of Michigan and Bachelors of Science from the Pennsylvania State University.
